Many people think bones are the favorites of dogs. Some parents who raise dogs usually think that eating bones is of great help to dogs, believing that it can not only fill them and grind their teeth, but also increase the intimacy with their pets. But are meat bones really a favorite among dogs? Should dogs be able to feed bones frequently?

In fact, bones are not the favorite food for dogs, they just regard bones as toys to spend time. Because pets are the most fun to bite, dogs’ teeth are like us humans, and they will not grow any longer after a certain period of growth, so they do not need to grind their teeth. The fragments of bones that are bitten by them may even get stuck in their throats, causing hidden dangers to their health. In addition to staple food, there is no need to add too much calcium. The pet’s own calcium content can be controlled by itself, and artificial addition is not necessarily a good thing. In fact, the calcium in the bones is difficult to digest and absorb directly by the dog's gastrointestinal tract, and most of them are excreted from the body with feces.

Remember that the following bones cannot be fed

In order to find your own flesh bones, the dog actually does this in the yard, and the owner will be furious.

1. Long bones of birds: Long bones refer to longer bones on the legs and wings. The bones are hollow, so when the bones are bitten, they are very likely to have sharp inclines, which can easily damage the dog's mouth and esophagus. When the dogs chew it, the small and hard fragments will still fork the dog's digestive system.

2. Bones on the neck of a bird: This type of bone is very likely to form esophageal infarction in dogs, especially for larger dogs. If you swallow them if you don’t chew them properly, it will easily cause infarction and endanger the health of your pets.

3. Pig bones or cows and sheep bones with joints: It is best not to chew on the dogs with large bones with joints. There are ligaments connected to the joints. When dogs gnaw, their teeth are easily embedded in the bones, causing tooth breakage.

When feeding bones on a daily basis, owners should also be careful and observe more during the feeding of pets to avoid accidental infarction or stuck. Don’t panic when they are stuck. Take it out in time. If conditions permit, rush to the pet hospital in time and do regular oral examinations and care for pets.
