A few days ago, Bournemouth star Alex Scott was selected for the England team.

At the same time, his namesake, 41-year-old former England women's football international Alex Scott, is about to participate in this year's "I'm a Celebrity" show. She arrived in Australia on Tuesday to prepare for her upcoming appearance in the televised Jungle Survival Challenge.

When asked if he had ever experienced a case of mistaken identity, Scott replied: "The other day, someone congratulated me on being called up for the national team and on I'm a Celebrity at the same time. Well done! Obviously, the female footballer Alex Scott has achieved something impressive wearing an England jersey."

"I have the same name as her, it's such a coincidence "I'm not sure there are many players, or any players with my name, who have played for England if I could play on Thursday or Sunday."

Scott also mentioned that his stepsister Maia Le Tissier, who is a current member of the England women's football team, was also the first to congratulate him and provide him with valuable advice.

Scott revealed: "Her advice was to enjoy it and be yourself. When I was playing local football in my hometown, she would never have imagined that I would become a professional footballer."

"She was really happy for me. She texted me immediately. There is someone who has been through this and has been with me for a long time." It’s great to have someone who has contact with the England Women’s Football Team. She can provide me with advice on how to succeed in high-level competitions.”

Skok recalled his experience playing in Guernsey as a child, flying to England at 6 am every Saturday morning to participate in youth training games, and then flying home on Sunday nights.

Scott said: "Six years ago, I was playing in the non-professional leagues and not sure I could make it as a footballer, so being selected for the England team is a dream come true for me. I am grateful to all the coaches, my family and everyone who has helped me."
