Arsenal striker Sterling's contract with the club will expire after the end of this season, and there is no sign of renewal of the contract at present.

The Gunners' former player Gala said of Sterling: "I think Sterling should face a new challenge. He had the opportunity to show his abilities at Chelsea and Arsenal, but none of them happened. Sterling needs to go to a team that gets more opportunities. Arteta is not willing to give him even if there are some rotation opportunities.

"About Arteta, I think one of the biggest mistakes he made is that sometimes there is a lack of rotation, which has led to an increase in player injuries. There are times when you have to give the players a break, and for Sterling, he must be frustrated, but maybe he will want to stay in the Premier League and London City.

"Sterling is already 30 years old. Maybe a club like Fulham can give him a chance and more opportunities to play. I'm curious about what will happen to him next."
