Arsenal has made a strong start to the Premier League season and is currently widely regarded as the favorite to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2004. However, Hargreaves believed in an interview with TNT Sports that Manchester City will still pose a major threat to Arsenal's championship prospects.
Hargreaves said: "I think Guardiola knows that his team is returning to its best form. It does help that Donnarumma is guarding the goal and Haaland is at the front, but now the team seems to have these outstanding young players. Sherkey just came off the bench in the Champions League and scored a wonderful goal. He and Foden's The combination will be very interesting, and they support Haaland together."
"I think he has a good lineup again this season. The team suffered too many injuries last year, Rodri was also injured, and the confidence dropped for a while, but now they are slowly regaining momentum, performing well in the Champions League and ranking second in the Premier League on Sunday. There's a big game and if you win that, everything will be open again."
"Arsenal are really good but they haven't really done it yet, they haven't won the title yet, but they are getting there and they will be there one day. But the last team you want to be chased by is this Manchester City team that they have been for all these years. Playing at the top level, the players and coaches are experienced."
"Arsenal has indeed put themselves in a good position, but this Manchester City will approach quietly and bit by bit. If they can get Rodri back into the lineup, it will be a very exciting championship battle based on the current strength."
