According to British media CaughtOffside, Manchester United winger Anthony is urging the club to allow him to transfer to Real Betis.
He was loaned to Betis in the second half of last season and was eager to get back there for a stable chance of playing ahead of the World Cup.
Sources told CaughtOffside that Manchester United insisted on asking Anthony to 40 million euros, which made the transfer progress slow. However, Manchester United has made two offer proposals to Anthony, hoping to make a breakthrough, and Anthony also hopes that the transfer will be completed as soon as possible.
An anonymous source provided CaughtOffside with details of Betis' offer. The first option is to rent and comes with optional terms for purchasing partial ownership; the second option is to directly purchase Anthony's ownership at a certain percentage of the price, with a price of about 20 million euros, and Betis is willing to cash out immediately.
Betis is optimistic that the two clubs will eventually reach an agreement in the next few days.
