Son Heung-min will leave Tottenham this summer, and the Premier League official social media posted a message to express his respect for the South Korean striker.
Premier League social media post:
Son Heung-min is the Asian player with the most appearances (333 games), the most goals (127 goals) and the most assists (71 times) in Premier League history.
The Korean star has always maintained outstanding performance in Tottenham's 10 seasons, and no player has played more than Son Heung-min in the Premier League during this period.
This energetic No. 7 player won many personal honors during his time in England, including one Golden Boot Award and four Player of the Month. No one will forget the single goal against Burnley in December 2019. Not only was he elected the best goal of the season, he also won the Puskas Award.
However, it was not until May 2025 that Son Heung-min finally confidently listed himself among Tottenham's greatest players.
Although Tottenham encountered many difficulties in domestic competitions in the 2024-2025 season, they found comfort in the European arena and successfully advanced to the UEFA Cup final. The 1-0 victory against Manchester United ended the club's 17 years of waiting for important trophys, and Son Heung-min held up the trophy as captain.
In his last official game as a Tottenham player, he declared: "I am the legend of this club."
