Sky Sports reported that Crystal Palace has held talks with Matta about contract renewal.
The two parties have yet to reach an agreement, but Crystal Palace remain calm about the situation as the French player has more than 18 months left on his current contract.
Crystal Palace is aware of the growing interest in Mateta and several other players in the team (Munoz, Adam Walton and Gueye).
The 28-year-old Mateta has scored 6 goals in 11 Premier League games this season and has become one of the most threatening forwards in Europe. He was recently called up to the French national team and scored two goals in his first three games for the national team.
He made his international debut in October, then scored in a draw with Iceland and added another in last weekend's away win over Azerbaijan.
Matteta has played 171 times for Crystal Palace and scored 54 goals, including 17 goals in all competitions last season.
