In recent years, simple and fashionable decoration styles have become increasingly popular, and white furniture has gradually become a very popular type of furniture in home furnishings. Although white furniture looks good, it is very troublesome to clean. I will share a few tips to teach you how to use the little things around you to clean and maintain white furniture.

How to maintain white furniture? Several tips to help you solve your worries

Tea water

Painted furniture is stained with dirt. You can wrap some slightly wet tea residue in gauze to wipe it, or dip it in a muslin a little thick tea water or dew water and a little alcohol, wipe it gently to remove it, and then wipe it dry with a cloth.

After wiping the furniture with tea, do not forget to wipe the tea dry with a damp rag dipped in clean water (note that the rag should be slightly wet). Because tea will leave tea stains after drying, and remaining on the painted surface will affect the original color of the furniture.

Toothpaste

White painted furniture will turn yellow over time. You can dip a rag in toothpaste or tooth powder and apply it gently on it. Using the bleaching effect of the toothpaste, the yellowing phenomenon can be effectively improved. However, do not rub hard when wiping, because the friction agent in the toothpaste powder will grind off the paint, thereby damaging the surface of the furniture. After removing the toothpaste residue with a damp cloth, wipe dry with a dry cloth.

White vinegar

Mix white vinegar and warm water in a ratio of 1:1 to gently wipe the stains on the surface of the furniture. If the stain is difficult to remove, let the vinegar water stay slightly on the stained surface and then wipe it hard with a soft cloth. This method is also suitable for the maintenance of mahogany furniture and other furniture cleaning after being contaminated by ink marks.

Glycerol

When cleaning furniture, drop several drops of glycerol in the water to clean it cleaner and thoroughly. However, avoid using soapy water or alkaline water, as this will affect the finish of the furniture surface and even cause the paint to fall off.

Beer

Put 1400 ml of light beer and boil it, add 14 grams of sugar and 28 grams of beeswax, stir well, and mix thoroughly. When the mixture has cooled, dip it with a soft cloth and wipe the wood. After the stain is wiped clean, wipe the residue with clean water, and finally wipe dry with a soft dry cloth.

Lemon

If the wood utensil is polished or varnished with varnish and accidentally burned by heat, you can first slice the lemon, or wipe it with a rag dipped in lemon juice, then wipe it with a soft cloth soaked in hot water, and finally wipe it quickly with a dry soft cloth to restore the original light.

Milk

If the milk expires, you cannot drink it, don't throw it away. You can use it to maintain white furniture. Put a clean rag in milk and soak it with this rag to wipe wooden furniture such as tables to remove dirt very well. Finally, remember to wipe it with clean water, otherwise there will be milk residue and milk odor.
