1. Use vitamin C or sugar

to break a small piece of vitamin C and crush it, put it in water or add a little sugar to the water, and then cut a small piece of the bottom of the received rose flower diameter, put it in a water bottle with vitamin C or sugar, and spray the petals and leaves of the roses with a watering can every day, so as to better keep the rose freshness.

2. Adding an appropriate amount of salt and sugar to the water, adding a small amount of sugar to clean water can make the buds of roses inserted into the vase bloom more vividly and extend the shelf life of roses. Adding salt to clean water makes it a salt water main function is to prevent bacteria from growing in the water, and to a certain extent, it can maintain the better water absorption capacity of flowers, thereby maintaining the freshness of roses. However, it is necessary to remind everyone that the concentration of salt water should not be too high, generally not exceeding 5%, otherwise the effect will be counterproductive.

3. Use beer to keep fresh

Add a little beer to the vase where roses are inserted. Because the beer itself contains ethanol, it can disinfect and anti-corrode the incisions of rose branches. Because it contains sugar and other nutrients, it can provide the branches and leaves of roses with the appropriate nutrients, so that the roses can be stored for a longer time.

4. Use flower preservatives

If you sell flower preservatives on the market, you can add an appropriate amount of flower preservatives to the solution where roses are inserted. The use of medicine can extend the shelf life of roses. If you don’t want to spend money on flower preservatives, here I will teach you how to make your own. Take a little dish soy sauce and dissolve it in warm water, prepare it into a solution with a concentration of 2% to 4%, and immerse the cut rose branches in the water depth of about 5 cm. This can extend the flowering period of roses by more than 2 to 3 times.

5. The roses inserted into the vase with skillfully using tea

can easily wither. Generally speaking, the flowering period of roses in clear water will be withered slowly in only three or four days. If tea is used instead of clear water, it will not only delay the withering time of roses, but also have a bright and fragrant flower. It is better to have a stronger concentration of tea.

Other tips:

1. Hot water method. Soak the base of the flower in boiling water for about 1 second, or soak it in hot water for two minutes, and then soak it in cold water after taking it out, which can act as an infarction incision and prevent the spilling of the flower tissue juice. Mostly used in herbal flowers.

2. Pharmacy method. Adding an appropriate amount of flower preservative to the flower arrangement container can prolong the flower arrangement period. In addition, adding an appropriate amount of boric acid, sulfur, salt, vitamins, water acid, lithocarbonic acid, etc. all have the effect of extending the flower arrangement period. In addition, inserting acorns into one-third of aspirin solution or one-2000 potassium permanganate solution can extend the flowering period by three to five days.

3. Injection method. Commonly used in aquatic flowers. The flower base of aquatic flowers is very fragile. Once they leave the natural growth place, the flowers will easily wither. At this time, a syringe can be used to inject moisture from the stem to maintain the life of the flower.

4. Incision surface expansion method. Cut the base of the flower branches into two to four parts, and embed the small stones to open the crack: or crack the base with a hammer to expand the absorbent surface. It is mainly used in woody flowers, such as magnolia, hydrangea, lilac, wisteria, azalea, etc.

5. Fire burning method. After placing the ends of the branches on the candle flame, soak them in alcohol for one minute, then rinse them in clean water. It is often used for flowers with milk spilled in the stems, such as poinsettia, peony, chrysanthemum, etc.
