The Post's Manchester City and team reporter Jack Gaughan reported that Kovacic will undergo Achilles tendon surgery again and is expected to return from February to March next year.
Kovacic has yet to start for Manchester City this season after undergoing Achilles tendon surgery this summer. He returned from injury against Burnley in September but only made appearances as a substitute against Everton and Villarreal.
After Manchester City defeated Bournemouth on November 3, Guardiola confirmed that Kovacic would be absent for a long time.
