The Premier League officially issued a statement announcing that the shareholders' meeting unanimously voted to pass a resolution on the same day, formally approving Alison Britton to continue as chairman of the board of directors, and Matthew Ryder as independent non-executive director. Both of them have a three-year term of office.

This appointment is based on the recommendation made by the league's Nominating Committee in October. The committee believed that the two individuals demonstrated excellent personal abilities and past performance, and the recommendation was subsequently unanimously approved by the board of directors. Britton expressed pleasure at continuing to serve, promised to continue to promote the league to achieve strategic goals and global development, and highly affirmed the rich experience brought by Ryder.

During their new terms, Britton and Ryder will continue to work collaboratively with board members Mike Fifield and Dalmash Mistry and CEO Richard Masters. This decision to serve was also supported by the English Football Association.
