"Orphan" increases the risk of death! American Studies: High-quality social interactions are more friends, and they are beneficial to long-term

Compared with 20 years ago, Americans have less and less social time, and more independent time is coming; a study published by medical journal BMC Medicine shows that social activity not only has better quality of life, but also can be more prosperous. Researchers say that quality in social relationships is more important than having more friends.

High-quality social interactions have more friends

This study tracked the survey subjects for more than ten years before the outbreak of the new crown epidemic and collected loneliness data; more and more evidence shows that loneliness is healthy, which leads to anxiety, heart disease and dullness.

According to the latest research from the University of Glasgow, no one has participated in group activities every week, or often feel socially isolated, such as living alone and having few family friends, may increase the risk of death.

Calif. geriatric illologist and Anning nursing physician Carla Perissinotto even believes that it is difficult to find any health condition without being affected by orphans.

Gallup's public opinion this year found that 17% of American adults said they felt lonely the day before their visit. The Ministry of Health issued a consultation report in May this year, saying that the lack of social contact is as dangerous as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

Researchers from the University of Glasgow analyzed the data of more than 450,000 participants from the U.K. Biobank database. In about 12.5 years, 30,000 people died, including more than 5,000 of whom died from cardiovascular disease.

Researchers pointed out that the risk of death among no family and friends has the greatest risk of death, with a 39% increase in visitors every day.

Organization will increase the risk of death in cancer survivors

Long-term orphans also cause sleep loss and disease. Antonio Terracciano, a professor at the Florida State University School of Medicine, said that the discomfort and pain brought by solitude can cause pressure and make people prone to illness.

He analyzed data from about 490,000 people in another study and found that orphanage may increase the risk of Parkinson's disease; early studies found that orphanage is also related to dementia.

Other studies have shown that orphans will increase the risk of hypertension, media and depression, and even found that the risk of dying from cancer in single adults may increase, and that alone will increase the risk of death in cancer survivors.
