A mail staff shared 4 things a smart traveler would do before boarding a boat vacation. According to the Daily Mail report in the UK, 28-year-old Lucy Southernon is from Birmingham. She has 9 years of experience in mailing and often shares suggestions for travelers and staff on the YouTube "Cruising As Crew" channel.

From time to timely preparation to emergency situations, Shatherton, with her expertise, advises travelers to fully enjoy the sea holiday. Here are 4 tips she provides:

1. Arrive as early as possible at the boarding location

Shatherton said that when traveling by mail, passengers should arrive at the boarding location early to avoid being trapped in traffic on the way. She said it would be best to arrive as early as possible to board the ship, and it is recommended to arrive two days before the scheduled flight start.

She said many people avoid this in order to save extra hotel fees, but the money is always much cheaper than the loss of possible missed boarding time.

2. Choose the appropriate mail

Shatherton then reminds passengers to clearly choose the mail you take when planning your mail journey. She said that the ships under the mail company are mainly divided into four types: public (vulnerable) mail, high-end mail, small mail and super luxury mail.

She pointed out that although booking the cheapest mail can save a lot of money in the early stage, some mail companies that recruit at low prices may make passengers pay more extra money on the ship.

Shatherton emphasized that compared with higher-level mailers, the meals, drinks and entertainment items of public mailers may need to be added. She reminded travelers to make plans in advance in this regard.

3. Buy Travel and Medical Insurance

Shatherton recommends that smart travelers buy travel and medical insurance as soon as possible after paying for email holiday fees. She said that what she felt most difficult during her work period was that she witnessed many travelers without necessary insurance when an emergency accident occurred.

She warned that it may cost thousands of yuan to solve these problems or take a plane to return home; in addition, medical treatment is not a big deal on the mail. She suggested that she could bring a small first aid kit, put some painkillers, creams, and all-purpose treatment creams, Sudocrem, etc. to deal with any minor illnesses.

4. Choose an appropriate room location

Shatherton's final suggestion is that travelers should choose an appropriate room location based on their personal needs. She said it is best to book a room nearby, rather than a room close to a public area. Even the noise from the next room is far less than the noise from the gym, nightclub or under the pool deck.
