Asthma is a very common chronic disease in Taiwan and is a common global disease. Asthma can be relieved or recovered with appropriate treatment, but it does not improve in one or two weeks or one or two months. It may usually be several years or even accompanied by a single child. However, if controlled well, it can actually be peaceful with you most of the time. Therefore, controlling the cause of asthma and avoiding it as possible, is the focus of daily health care.
What can patients with asthma eat?Asthma may be caused by allergens, movement, weather changes, contact irritants and viral infections. Asthma patients are often accused of not eating this or that they cannot eat it. What can patients with asthma take if they are asked? In addition to the special allergens you know, most foods can be eaten. For example, it is generally said that protein, milk and shelled seafood are more common allergens, but not all asthma patients cannot eat these unless you have an allergen test and know that you are allergic to a specific food, or have clearly eaten something to cause asthma.
Patients with asthma are often told that they cannot eat ice, but are they really unable to eat ice at all? The National Health Administration pointed out that the symptoms vary from person to person, and not all patients will cause inappropriate treatment if they eat ice. When the condition is stable and the gas tube is not inflamed, patients with asthma can also eat ice, but be careful not to overdose, not eat it suddenly, or eat it while being asthma after exercise. You can slowly hold the ice in your mouth and swallow it after the temperature is slightly increased.
The most important dietary focus for asthma patients is "balanced diet" and is adjusted according to the appropriateness of different conditions; and to avoid obesity and worsening asthma, the amount of food should be kept calm, and high-heat food should be reduced. Take more foods rich in vitamin D and turbid vegetarian food, and focus on the original food as much as possible, because food additives may cause sensitive reactions, such as preservatives, pigments or fragrances. Some patients use asthma drugs such as gas tube expansion agents, which can easily cause excessive ion loss, and should be supplemented with high-deep foods, such as spinach, water spinach, tomatoes, strawberries, peaches, etc.
